Overview

This guide outlines the process for requesting, creating, and confirming a new customer subdomain.

Subdomain Request

When a request for a new subdomain is received from a customer or stakeholder, gather the required details before submitting the request. This request will most likely come from Uwe.

*Review the ticket before triaging to ensure all required information is included.

  • Customer name

  • Customer website URL

  • Salesforce (SFDC) account link (if requested)

Submit Request

Once the required details are collected, submit the internal request for subdomain setup and ensure all relevant information is included

Forward the request to  Paul by creating a child ticket.

 

 

CNAME Creation and Confirmation 

A ticket is submitted to create a CNAME record. Once completed, confirmation is provided that the subdomain is active along with the working link.

  • Subdomain format: customer.componentsearchengine.com

  • Confirmation is received once the subdomain is live

  • A working link is provided

Notify the requester once the subdomain has been confirmed as active.
